ElevenLabs opens an alpha of live voice translation for calls

By Steven Van ·

Eleven Realtime Translation lets two people each speak their own language on a call, in 90+ languages. The alpha is limited to enterprise customers.

ElevenLabs opened a limited alpha of Eleven Realtime Translation on October 21, a day after launching Eleven Realtime for voice agents. Where Realtime is for agents that talk to people, the new product is for people who need to talk to each other.

It builds live voice translation into calls. Each person speaks their own language and hears the other person in theirs, in a natural voice, while the call is happening. It works in more than 90 languages and detects each speaker’s language automatically.

Access is limited to enterprise customers during the alpha. ElevenLabs has not shared pricing or a date for wider availability.
