Python SDK v7.13.0
By Steven Van ·
Python developers can update live Nova-3 streams without reconnecting and exchange experimental custom Think-provider messages.
Active Nova-3 streams can now be reconfigured without reconnecting in Deepgram Python SDK v7.13.0. The release also adds experimental custom Think-provider messages for Voice Agent sessions.
Change keyterms mid-stream
Calling connection.send_configure(ListenV1Configure(...)) updates keyterms and formatting options such as numerals on a live Listen V1 stream. Each Configure message replaces the stream’s keyterms and switches formatting features on or off through a features object. Mid-stream keyterm updates are available only on the global endpoint, api.deepgram.com.
Configure rejections arrive as typed ListenV1Error responses.
Exchange custom Think-provider messages
Voice Agent sessions can send experimental payloads with send_custom_to_think_provider(AgentV1CustomToThinkProvider(...)) and receive AgentV1CustomFromThinkProvider responses. This requires a configured custom Think-provider WebSocket endpoint.
