Hosted and self-hosted customers can use the API for both pre-recorded medical audio and real-time streaming.
Medical audio with speakers switching between languages can now be transcribed with Deepgram’s Nova-3 Medical model. The model is optimized for medical vocabulary and now supports multilingual transcription across ten languages.
Enable multilingual transcription
Set model=nova-3-medical&language=multi in API calls to transcribe audio containing Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. The feature supports both pre-recorded batch transcription and real-time streaming.
Hosted and self-hosted availability
Nova-3 Medical Multilingual is available now for hosted and self-hosted customers. Self-hosted customers need to request the updated models for download from their Deepgram account representative. The model documentation lists the medical model option and its multilingual setting.
