Java SDK v0.11.1

By Steven Van ·

Java developers can update Nova-3 keyterms mid-stream, handle typed server errors and exchange custom Think-provider payloads.

Active Nova-3 streams can now be reconfigured without reconnecting in Deepgram’s Java SDK v0.11.1. The release also adds typed server error handling and custom Think-provider messages for Voice Agent sessions.

Change keyterms mid-stream

The sendConfigure(ListenV1Configure) method updates keyterms and formatting options on a live Listen V1 stream. Each Configure message replaces the stream’s keyterms and turns formatting features on or off through a features object, including numerals. Mid-stream keyterm updates are available only on the global endpoint, api.deepgram.com.

Handle typed server errors

Applications can receive typed server errors through onErrorMessage(...). When no typed handler is registered, onError(...) receives a ListenV1ErrorException carrying the server error.

Exchange custom Think-provider messages

Voice Agent sessions gain sendCustomToThinkProvider(...) and onCustomFromThinkProvider(...) to exchange custom payloads while preserving nested JSON values. These experimental methods require a custom Think-provider wss:// endpoint.

See the v0.11.1 release notes for the full details.
