ComfyUI releases OPENjutsu, an open-source character swap app
By Steven Van ·
Upload a clip and one character image, and OPENjutsu swaps the person in a 5 to 15 second part while keeping the scene and its sound.
The ComfyUI team released OPENjutsu on October 26, a fully open-source app a few of them built as a side project. It swaps the person in a video for the character in a single image, and keeps the scene, the performance and the clip’s own sound.
You upload a clip and a character image, choose a 5 to 15 second part, and get that part back with the character in it. It is built on Akatz Labs’ H3 Character Swap workflow and MiniMax H3.
You can try it on Comfy’s app hub, run it on Comfy, run it locally from the GitHub repo, or plug in a paid model for higher quality. Running your own copy needs a Comfy Developer Platform account, an API key and a deployment with the listed models.
Comfy built it to go first in its #OpenSourceHiggsfield challenge, which asks the community to rebuild Higgsfield’s most popular apps as open source. Submissions are due October 30.
