Monthly API credits for Max and Team plans

Max subscribers receive $100 or $200 a month, while Team credits are pooled up to $500 per month.
Eligible subscribers can use credits included with their Claude plan to run their own apps and agents on the Claude Platform. The offer is rolling out over a few days and becomes available after seven days on an active Max or Team subscription.
Monthly amounts by plan
- Max 5x includes $100 a month.
- Max 20x includes $200 a month.
- Team includes $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat, pooled into one balance capped at $500 a month.
Discounted Nonprofit and Scientists Team plans receive the same per-seat amounts. The Team pool is calculated from the seats on the plan when credits are granted. Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans are not eligible.
Link a Console organization to claim
Max subscribers claim through Settings > Billing on claude.ai. Team Owners or Primary Owners use Organization settings > Billing. In the API credits section, select “Link organization,” choose or create a Claude Console organization, review the Supplemental Credit Terms, and confirm the link.
The person claiming must also have the Owner, Admin, or Billing role in the Console organization. Subscribers who joined through iOS or Android can claim in a web browser, and no payment card is required on the Claude Platform.
Each plan can link to only one Console organization, and each organization can receive credits from only one plan. Changing the linked organization later requires contacting support.
What the credits cover
Credits work with any available Claude model through the Messages API, Message Batches API, Console Playground, Claude Managed Agents, and Claude Agent SDK. Everyone with an API key in the linked organization shares the balance; Team owners can set workspace spend limits in the Console.
They do not cover interactive Claude Code sessions, extra usage in Claude, Claude Code, or Claude Cowork, or Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or Microsoft Foundry. They also do not change the usage limits of the subscription.
Refreshes and usage after the balance runs out
Credits arrive each billing cycle after payment, or monthly on annual plans. Unused credits expire at the end of the cycle, and monthly credits are spent before purchased credits.
Once the balance runs out, usage draws from purchased credits or auto-reload. Without another balance, API requests stop until the next monthly credits arrive. Usage is never charged to the Claude subscription; organizations invoiced through Anthropic sales are billed as usual for usage beyond the credits.
