Claude Uses Your Computer in the Background

Claude can now use your computer in the background in Claude Cowork and Claude Code.
Claude Cowork can now run tasks on a computer in the background, clicking, typing and opening apps while the user works on something else. The same background operation is also available in Claude Code. Anthropic announced the change on 2 September 2026.
