Anthropic has opened a Claude Team plan for scientists, offering seats to 10,000 researchers across every field. Principal investigators at academic and nonprofit research institutions sign up and add their group.

- Premium seats, with 5x the usage limits, cost $15 a month for a year, an 80% discount.
The plan follows Claude Science, launched in June, and the AI for Science credit programme. Anthropic plans to extend the offer beyond the initial 10,000 seats.
