Claude Cowork and Chat Merge Into One Claude

Anthropic is folding Claude Cowork into the main Claude app, adding decks, docs, and designs you can build and edit inside a conversation.
Anthropic is merging Claude Cowork and chat into a single Claude. The idea is that a quick question and a long-running task now live in the same place: ask something small, or hand over a report, and Claude takes it from there, continuing the work even after you close your laptop. When something is unclear, Claude asks rather than guessing, so you keep the final say.
Alongside the merge, Claude can now make decks, docs, and designs directly in a conversation. You can draft a one-pager in Claude Docs, turn it into a deck with Claude Slides, and mock up a matching visual in Claude Design, all without leaving the thread.
- Edit in place: fix a line in the doc yourself, leave a comment for Claude on a slide, or select an element and move it.
- Present and export: present a deck straight from Claude, or export the doc in the format you already use.
- Share everything at one link once the work is ready.
