Build plugins for Claude

A new developer portal lets paid Claude plans submit MCP connectors and Agent Skills as plugins, with review tracking and usage analytics.
Developers on paid Claude plans can now submit plugins through a new directory submission portal, which packages MCP connectors and Agent Skills into third-party extensions. Submissions go in as a single MCP connector pointing to a remote server, or as a bundle of MCP servers and skills hosted in a GitHub repo; in Claude Code, bundles can also include LSPs, commands, hooks, and agents.
- Each submission is auto-validated and safety-scanned on submit, with review status, scan results, and recommended changes visible in the portal.
- Developers choose when to publish an approved plugin.
- Once live, usage analytics show installs by product surface and version, plus how often the listing is viewed and which searches surface it.
Claude supports the latest MCP spec (MCP 2.0) with a stateless core, along with two extensions: MCP Apps for interactive UI inside chat, and Enterprise Managed Auth for zero-touch OAuth. Existing skills, connectors, or plugins already on the Claude directory don't need any changes. Full details are in the announcement.
