Circle connects Meta and GA4 ads to paywall revenue

By Steven Van ·

Paid Circle plans can send checkout and purchase events to Meta and Google Analytics 4, at no extra cost, so ads can be tied to revenue.

Circle posted on October 27 that paywalls can track ad conversions from Meta and Google Analytics 4. The write-up is in the October 22 release. Connect a platform under Settings, then Payments. GA4 needs a Measurement ID and an API secret. Meta needs a Pixel ID and an access token. Each paywall has a toggle, on by default.

Circle's guide sends checkout start, payment info entered, purchase, and subscription start. A purchase is reported when Circle confirms payment. Circle stores which ad someone clicked and writes it onto the Stripe record. Paywalls analytics add orders, revenue, and average order value for tracking parameters on checkout links.

It is on all paid plans, at no extra cost. A visitor from your own site is tracked through checkout only with a matching custom domain, such as community.yoursite.com. Revenue by channel is described as up next.
