Cinema 4D is coming to iPad

By Steven Van ·

Maxon's touch-first app runs standalone or alongside desktop, adds Redshift, and opens ZBrush for iPad sculpts, with a late-2026 release.

Cinema 4D is coming to iPad, marking the first time Maxon has brought a professional 3D tool of this scope to a mobile platform. Cinema 4D for iPad is aimed at illustrators, motion designers, and artists moving from 2D into 3D, letting them sketch concepts and build three-dimensional artwork for branding, editorial illustration, product concepts, or social content without the complexity of a traditional desktop workflow.

The app can run as a companion to the desktop version or as a standalone tool, works via touch without requiring a keyboard, and supports Apple Pencil Pro for a better experience. It will include Redshift capabilities, and sculpts made in ZBrush for iPad will open directly in it. Maxon says it aims to make pricing as accessible as possible, with details to follow closer to release.

Maxon expects to release Cinema 4D for iPad in late 2026 and is running a beta programme for early access before then.
