ChatGPT tests a personal finance dashboard for Pro users
The US web and iOS preview links accounts via Plaid across 12,000+ institutions, before reaching Plus users too on 25 June.
OpenAI released a preview of a personal finance experience inside ChatGPT on 15 May 2026, letting Pro users in the US securely connect their financial accounts through Plaid, with support for more than 12,000 institutions and Intuit support coming soon. Once accounts are linked, ChatGPT builds a dashboard covering portfolio performance, spending, subscriptions and upcoming payments, and can answer questions grounded in that data.
Users can also tell ChatGPT about goals or circumstances, such as a mortgage or a savings target, and it saves that as "Financial memories" to inform later conversations. OpenAI credits the feature to recent reasoning improvements in GPT-5.5 and notes it is not a replacement for professional financial advice. The preview launched on web and iOS, with OpenAI saying it would expand to Plus users after learning from early use; the announcement was later updated to confirm the experience reached Plus and Pro users in the US on web, iOS and Android on 25 June 2026.
