ChatGPT Meetings takes notes on macOS in beta

By Steven Van ·

Pro and Business users get personalized notes and suggested actions in Space; Enterprise access remains a limited alpha.

The Meetings plugin in ChatGPT uses a Mac's microphone and system audio to take notes from online calls or in-person conversations, without adding a bot to the call.

Notes and follow-up actions

It combines the transcript, personal notes and authorized connected-app context into a personalized summary and suggested action items in ChatGPT Space. Users can review and edit those actions before starting them. Meeting pages are private by default.

Availability and setup

The macOS beta is available on Pro and Business plans. Enterprise access remains a limited alpha, with other operating systems coming later. Install Meetings from Plugins and grant microphone and system-audio access. Calendar connection is optional.

Everyone in the meeting must consent before note-taking starts. The app's reminder does not notify participants or obtain consent. See OpenAI's Meetings guide for setup and availability.
