ChatGPT can now use your Apple Health and medical records
US users 18+ on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro can connect Apple Health, One Medical, or Function Health data on web and iOS.
ChatGPT users in the US can now link Apple Health and medical records from participating hospital systems, One Medical, or Function Health, letting the assistant draw on medications, lab results, recent visits, sleep, and activity data across any conversation, with permission. The feature is rolling out to logged-in users 18 and older on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans, on web and iOS; it is not yet available in Codex.
OpenAI says people already send more than 300 million health-related queries to ChatGPT each week. With connected data, ChatGPT can compare a new lab result with prior tests, summarize what has changed since the last appointment, or factor in a dietary restriction or recent injury into unrelated conversations, rather than requiring a visit to a separate health-focused space. A Health section in the sidebar manages connected accounts, recent data, and past health conversations.

- By default, ChatGPT asks for permission each time before using connected records, though this can be switched to always allow in Settings.
- Connected records and conversations that use them are not used to train OpenAI's models or to target ads, and can be disconnected at any time, with synced data deleted within 30 days.
