EditPilot and Interactive Edit on CapCut

CapCut Desktop's EditPilot and Interactive Edit let creators select footage in the preview and extend shots up to 30 seconds.
CapCut Desktop is adding EditPilot, an AI editing assistant, alongside a new Interactive Edit mode.
- Interactive Edit lets you select footage directly in the preview window and prompt changes to it, rather than hunting through the timeline.
- AI Extend can lengthen a shot by up to 30 seconds.
The features were announced on 10 September 2026.
