Anthropic has joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron. The funding goes toward Blender core development, including the Python API that lets developers and artists extend Blender for custom workflows.
Blender's Foundation notes that its APIs are maintained for individuals and companies to extend the software, including for uses beyond Blender's own mission, which it treats as part of the software freedom embodied in Blender's GNU GPL license. Read the full announcement.
