Bitrig Turns Figma Designs into Native Swift Apps

By Steven Van ·

Designers can turn a Figma file into a running SwiftUI app in Bitrig's 3D simulator, matched to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.

Bitrig can now pull a Figma file straight into a running native app. Connect a Figma account through the Figma MCP, share a link to the design, and Bitrig builds it, prompting you to pick which frames to bring in if a page has several, as announced on 23 September 2026.

  • The design comes up running in Bitrig's 3D simulator, inside the exact device selected.
  • Bitrig checks the build against Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, and recognizes components styled with Apple's iOS and iPadOS 27 UI Kit.
  • Familiar Figma elements like navigation bars, menus, sheets, and text fields map to native SwiftUI components, so they behave like the real thing rather than an approximation.
  • Translucent surfaces become native materials or Liquid Glass, flattened SF Symbols become native icons, and colors from Apple's kit become system colors that adapt to dark mode.

The feature builds on last week's iPhone Duo support in the Apple UI Kit, which added Duo's bezels and controls to design with in Figma. The 3D simulator lets designers open, close, and spin the device to see how a design responds, ahead of the device's October 23 release.
