Behance launches portfolio-first hiring tool Recruiter Pro
By Steven Van ·
Recruiter Pro puts candidate work samples in every search result for agency and design-team recruiters sourcing from Behance.
Behance built a hiring platform around the thing it has that no job board does: millions of portfolios. Recruiter Pro is a portfolio-first hiring tool for creative teams, where a candidate's actual work sits inside every search result, so recruiters and hiring managers evaluate craft without leaving the search.
Portfolio-first, not resume-first
Hiring creatives through resume-keyword search has always been backwards, a designer's value is in their work, not their bullet points, but conventional tools bury the portfolio behind a click (if it's linked at all). Recruiter Pro inverts that. Per Behance's announcement, search results lead with visual work samples, and evaluation happens in the same view as discovery. For a field where taste is the whole job, seeing the work first isn't a nice-to-have, it's the correct order of operations.
What's in the toolkit
Recruiter Pro pairs that portfolio-first search with a full sourcing workflow: smart matching based on experience and portfolio work, AI-generated candidate alignment summaries (a quick read on why someone fits), and advanced filters for discipline, tools, seniority, location, and availability. On the pipeline side, there's shared shortlists, pipeline management, and unlimited direct messaging and job postings. In other words, discovery and evaluation and outreach in one place, drawing on Behance's community as the candidate pool.
Adobe monetizes its network
Strategically, this is Adobe turning Behance's greatest asset, the largest concentration of creative portfolios on the internet, into a hiring business. It puts Behance in direct competition with LinkedIn and Dribbble's hiring products, but with a structural edge: the portfolios are native, current, and already there. For creatives, the upside is being discoverable through your work rather than your self-description; the tradeoff is the usual one when a platform monetizes its network, worth keeping your Behance portfolio current if you're open to work.
Who it's for
Recruiter Pro targets recruiters, hiring managers, and talent sourcers at agencies and design-forward companies. If you hire creatives, portfolio-first search is a genuinely better default; if you're a creative, the takeaway is simpler, an up-to-date Behance is now a hiring surface. Details are at Behance.
