Wiz now scans apps built with Base44

By Steven Van ·

The integration extends enterprise cloud-security policies to AI-generated apps, letting Wiz cover Base44 output automatically.

Base44 addressed the question that follows every vibe-coding platform into the enterprise: is what the AI built actually secure? The answer now has a name. Wiz is integrated with Base44, which means your Wiz security policy covers everything you build on Base44 too, extending the same cloud-security posture your organization already enforces to apps generated by AI.

The security gap in AI-built software

Vibe coding made building an app trivial; it also made it trivial to ship misconfigurations, exposed secrets, and insecure defaults without noticing. For individuals that's a risk; for companies with a security team and a compliance mandate, it's a blocker. Wiz, one of the most widely deployed cloud-security platforms, scans for exactly those problems, and wiring it into Base44 means AI-generated apps get inspected under the same policy as everything else in the org's cloud, not treated as an unmonitored side channel.

Why this matters for adoption

The real story is enterprise readiness. A design team or marketer can already build internal tools on Base44 in an afternoon; what has kept those tools from going into production at larger companies is governance, security wanting to know what's running and whether it's safe. Native Wiz coverage lets Base44 apps inherit existing policy instead of requiring an exception, which is how shadow IT becomes sanctioned IT. It's the same maturation curve Base44 has been climbing all year, its own Base 1 model, SOC 2 compliance, and now security tooling.

What to do

If your organization runs Wiz, Base44-built apps now fall under your existing policies automatically, worth flagging to whoever owns your security posture, since it may unblock use cases that were previously off-limits. For solo builders, it's a signal more than a to-do: the platform is being hardened for serious use.
