GitHub connections moved to the workspace level
By Steven Van ·
Workspace admins can now control which GitHub organizations a team may use, and members no longer need to link their own accounts to publish synced apps.
GitHub connections in Base44 now belong to the workspace instead of one person's account, under a new GitHub tab in workspace settings. Connections that already existed moved across on their own.
- One connection for the team: anyone in the workspace can edit and publish synced apps without connecting GitHub themselves, and commits show Base44 as the author.
- Who can connect: adding organizations can be open to everyone, or limited to admins and owners.
- Which organizations are allowed: each connected organization has its own toggle, and members only see the allowed ones when they create or import a repository.
- One place to see everything: every connection is listed with its status, and disconnecting one tells you how many apps will stop syncing before you confirm.
Base Code projects are the exception. They always use per-user connections.
