Add a design system from a published npm package

By Steven Van ·

Base44's design system builder can now pull colours and components from a published npm package, not just Figma files or URLs.

Base44's design system feature, which sets a workspace's colours, fonts, logo and components so every new app starts on-brand, now accepts a published npm package as a source. Alongside Figma files and website URLs, you can paste a package name, a name@version, or an npmjs.com link, and Base44 builds a design system from it. Private registries are supported too, by adding a registry URL, access token and any scopes to resolve.

The feature is available on the Builder plan and above, and is covered in Base44's design system documentation.
