You can now set an expiration when you create an API key or an Admin API key in the Claude Console. Choose a preset, a custom duration, or Never.
Admin API keys and regular API keys created in the Claude Console can now be given an expiration. When creating a key, pick a preset duration, a custom one, or set it to never expire.
- Keys with a lifetime of at least 7 days trigger an email to the creator before they expire.
- Existing keys are unaffected by the change.
- The Admin API now reports each key's expiration in an expires_at field.
