Airtable Canvas is in open beta for paid plans

By Steven Van ·

Airtable Canvas builds apps, reports, and slides from a base. Help says every paid plan; the fall release still lists AI Labs limits.

On October 27, Airtable said Canvas is in open beta. Describe an app, dashboard, or presentation, apply a brand system, and click an element to trace it back to the data. Airtable says there is no dragging, dropping, or coding.

Help, updated the same day, says Canvas is on the web for every paid plan. Owners and Creators build. Other roles can open a published canvas within their base permissions. The type, Apps, Reports, or Slides, is permanent and tied to one base. Apps and slides use live data. Reports are a read-only snapshot and can be shared by link.

The fall release is narrower. It requires AI, AI Labs, and Anthropic or Bedrock for the organization, and it is not yet available for HIPAA or non-U.S. data residency. An August post that called Canvas a private alpha is out of date.
