Affinity links up with Canva, Capture One and DaVinci Resolve
April's update adds Canva Brand System sync, native .af support in Capture One and Resolve, and a free-beta Claude AI Connector.
The Affinity April update, shared at Canva Create 2026, connects Affinity to other tools in a creative workflow and cuts down on repetitive production tasks.
- Canva Brand System is now built into Affinity, giving access to a team's approved colors, fonts, imagery and brand voice while designing. Assets can then move into Canva, where they live in Brand Kits and templates.
- Capture One's new .af file support lets users open a Capture One edit directly in Affinity for retouching in one click, carrying over layers, masks, metadata, annotations, overlays and guides.
- DaVinci Resolve now opens Affinity .af files natively. When the .af file is resaved in Affinity, the Resolve timeline updates automatically, with no re-export or relinking needed.
- A new AI Connector for Claude lets users describe a process in plain language and have Claude build a reusable script to run whenever needed, for tasks like batch editing or print prep. It's free during the beta period.
- Cavalry, Canva's motion and 2D animation tool, is now free with a Canva account.
