OpenBot launches a chief of staff for other agents

OpenBot launched a chat where you give a goal to a chief of staff, and it assigns the work to other agents.

In the launch video, the line typed into the chat is "Ship the new pricing page by Friday." OpenBot answers, "On it. I've asked three agents and will report back here." The thread then shows Claude Code "Writing the pricing page," Stagehand "Checking the checkout flow," and Resend "Drafted the launch email." Those are OpenBot's status labels in the clip. The video then crosses out the words "MADE-UP HELPERS," and later shows a card marked "Running in the cloud" while you are away.

The features page says you describe the task in plain words, or message an agent directly. Each task keeps a plan, and its steps move from pending to in progress to done. Each agent gets a row: Working, Waiting for you, Done, or Failed. When an agent needs a decision, the task waits under Needs you.

OpenBot says the agents work on a cloud computer for the workspace, grouped into Spaces such as website or checkout. A Space can have its own folder, with files, code, changes, variables, and a terminal. OpenBot says the computer can keep working after you log off, and that you review a result before it ships. Workspace owners can invite teammates, up to 3 members.

The agents page lists 20 agents you can install, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Firecrawl, Stitch, Motion, Stagehand, Notion, Linear, Slack, GitHub, Resend, Supabase, Stripe, and Cloudflare. Labels in the video, such as Codex taking on coding tasks or Apollo finding people to reach, are OpenBot's own descriptions.

Free is $0: one cloud computer with 1 CPU, 2 GB of memory, 5 GB of storage, and 500 credits a month. Cloud is $60 a month: 4 CPUs, 8 GB of memory, 20 GB of storage, 2,000 credits a month, up to 3 team members, and no API keys required. Credits pay for the models the agents run and reset each month. Top-ups start at 1,000 credits, at $1.20 per 100 credits. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and tax may be added at checkout. Cloud renews monthly until you cancel, and canceling keeps Free.

The site links a GitHub repository whose README describes a local harness, installed with npm i -g openbot, and says the MIT license applies through v0.5.3. Newer work is not published there, so that repository is not the source of this cloud app. The pricing and legal pages say they were last updated on August 30, 2026.
