S1-mini passes 500K downloads on Hugging Face

Superwhisper says S1-mini has passed 500K downloads on Hugging Face. The November 1 post calls it a tiny model that runs on your hardware and cleans up a transcript. It quotes the August launch, which introduced S1-mini as a 0.6B open-weights model that processes transcripts on your device.

The model card describes S1-mini as a text normalizer for speech-to-text output. Release v1 is English only, and it is not a general chat model. GGUF builds sit in a separate repo for llama.cpp and similar runners. Superwhisper's download post does not say whether the 500K+ figure is one repo, the GGUF builds, or both. This page does not remeasure that total.
