# X adds native video editing and recording to iOS app

New tools include multilingual overlay captions and Green Screen for swapping in custom backgrounds.

X has added a native video editor and recorder to its iOS app. Two features stand out: overlay captions in multiple languages, with adjustable styling, and Green Screen, which lets a creator swap in a custom background from a post or a camera roll photo.

Both have been requested for a while, and now come built into the [X](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/x>) app rather than requiring a separate editing tool before posting. See the [announcement](<https://x.com/i/status/2074218166033781048>) for details.
