# Photo resharing is live on X, with credit for the original

Long-press a photo and tap Post photo: X credits the original author and says both of you earn from Original Content Rewards, with no rate given.

On October 27, [X](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/x>) turned on photo resharing. Long-press a photo and tap Post photo. The original author is credited, and the Creators account says both of you earn from Original Content Rewards.

The announcement image shows that action in a menu: Post photo, with the lines "The original author will be credited" and "You both earn from Original Content Rewards." The post does not name a payout rate, a country list, or which apps include the long-press. It also does not say whether both accounts must already be in the rewards program.

X's help page for Original Content Rewards describes payouts for content you created yourself. A copy archived on October 19 still lists a fully copied or reuploaded image as not original, and it does not mention Post photo. The October 27 post does not say how a reshare fits that definition, and it does not link a newer help article.
