# Free credit incentives for pay-per-use accounts

New pay-per-use X API accounts can earn up to $70 in free credits, applied automatically and expiring after 3 months.

Pay-per-use accounts on the [X](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/x>) API can now earn free credits in two ways, as [announced in the X API changelog](<https://docs.x.com/changelog#oct-2-2026>). Both incentives are rolling out now.

- A one-time **$20** when an account saves its first eligible payment card.

- A one-time match of the first successful auto-recharge, up to **$50**.

A new account that earns both receives **$70** in free credits. Credits are applied automatically, with no code or form, and appear in the Developer Console within about a minute. They are spent before purchased credits and expire 3 months after they are granted.
