# Broadcast chat removal events for X Activity API

Developers can subscribe by User ID with the broadcast.read scope to get real-time notice when a broadcast chat message is removed.

The X Activity API has a new event, broadcast.chat.remove, that fires when a host or moderator removes a chat message from a broadcast.

Per the [changelog](<https://docs.x.com/changelog#sep-29-2026>), [X](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/x>) lets developers subscribe by User ID with the broadcast.read scope. Notifications arrive in real time for broadcasts the user owns. The payload carries the broadcast\_id and the message\_id of the removed message. The docs' Event payloads page has a sample delivery.
