# Webflow's AI Assistant panel can now dock left, right, or float

By Steven Van · 2026-08-04

The 30 July update also stops the panel from covering Styles, Settings, Props, or Interactions while open.

The [Webflow](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/webflow>) AI Assistant panel no longer covers Styles, Settings, Props, or Interactions while it's open, so you can keep editing while you chat with it. It can also be repositioned: dock it right (the default), dock it left, or float it anywhere within the browser window, switching anytime from the AI Assistant panel menu. The [update](<https://webflowmarketingmain.com/updates/position-ai-assistant-to-fit-your-workflow>) launched on 30 July 2026.
