# Zero-configuration Flask backends

By Steven Van · 2025-10-10

Flask backends deploy on Vercel with no config changes, running on Fluid compute with Active CPU pricing by default.

Flask apps can now be deployed on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) with no configuration changes. Vercel's framework-defined infrastructure recognizes Flask projects directly, removing the need for redirects in vercel.json or moving code into an /api folder.

Flask backends run on Fluid compute with Active CPU pricing by default, so the app scales automatically with traffic and only bills for time the code is actively using CPU.
