# xAI joins the Vercel Marketplace

Grok models are available from the Vercel Marketplace with a free plan, automatic API keys, and billing through Vercel.

Grok models from xAI can now be added to Vercel projects through the [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) Marketplace. Getting started with xAI's free plan needs no separate signup.

- Authentication and API key management are handled through automatically configured environment variables.

- Billing is integrated through Vercel, so usage is pay as you go.

- The integration installs with vercel install xai or from the dashboard. Once the terms are accepted, Grok models can be used from the project with no further steps.

The AI SDK's xAI provider (@ai-sdk/xai) is the way to call the models from code. Vercel's example streams text from grok-2-1212 with streamText. There is also a ready-to-deploy Next.js starter template. More detail is in the [original announcement](<https://vercel.com/marketplace/xai>).
