# vlt is now available in builds via zero configuration

By Steven Van · 2025-08-08

Vercel builds now auto-detect vlt-lock.json and run vlt install, in beta and requiring Node 20.x on the modern build image.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) now runs **vlt** as a build install command with no configuration required. Projects containing a vlt-lock.json file will automatically run vlt install. Support is in beta, covers vlt 0.x, and requires Node 20.x and the modern build image.
