# Vercel Sandbox now calculates snapshot storage costs daily

By Steven Van · 2026-08-31

Vercel now calculates charges for Sandbox snapshot storage from each day’s average usage and adds them to your monthly invoice.

Vercel Sandbox snapshot storage is now billed from each day's average usage rather than a single average across the whole billing period, part of [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s platform for deploying and scaling web apps. The rate stays at **$0.08 per GB-month**; only the calculation changes, and the daily charges can be tracked on the team's Usage page.

The [update](<https://vercel.com/changelog/vercel-sandbox-now-calculates-snapshot-storage-costs-daily>) takes effect automatically at the start of the next billing period for Pro and Enterprise teams, with no action required.
