# Vercel Firewall rule builder now supports \`OR\` for rule condition groups

Custom WAF rules can now link condition groups with OR as well as AND, instead of AND only, so one rule can cover several cases.

Custom WAF rules in the [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) Firewall can now join condition groups with OR as well as AND. Previously, [condition groups within a rule](<https://vercel.com/docs/security/vercel-firewall>) could only be linked with AND.

Vercel says the change allows more complex WAF actions. Rules are customised from the Firewall tab of a project.
