# Vercel Connect now supports Linq

By Steven Van · 2026-08-25

Vercel Connect now includes a managed connector for Linq, so your apps and agents can send and receive messages over iMessage, RCS, and SMS.

Vercel Connect now has a managed connector for [Linq](<https://vercel.com/changelog/vercel-connect-now-supports-linq>), letting apps and agents built on [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) send and receive messages over iMessage, RCS, and SMS. Vercel can create a Linq account and phone number for a project or link an existing one, so credentials are never handled directly. Connectors can be set up from the dashboard or the CLI.

- The connector powers a new Linq channel in eve: running **eve add channel/linq** wires up the connector, phone numbers, and webhook automatically. The channel marks messages as read, keeps the same eve session going through a conversation, and supports read receipts, typing indicators, and mid-conversation steering.

- Any project can use the connector directly. Calling **getToken** through the **@vercel/connect** SDK exchanges a deployment's OIDC identity for a short-lived Linq token, which can be passed as a bearer token to the Linq Partner API for things like group chats, reactions, rich media, and typing indicators.

Messages sent through the connector go out over whichever protocol the recipient supports first, trying iMessage, then RCS, then SMS.
