# Vercel Agent can now validate alerts before paging

Alert validation on Pro and Enterprise plans with Observability Plus sends only Agent-classified Critical alerts to paging webhooks such as incident.io.

Vercel Agent can now check alerts from Vercel monitors before they reach a paging system. When validation is enabled on a webhook destination, only alerts Agent classifies as Critical are sent to it. The change is described in the [alert webhook documentation](<https://vercel.com/docs/alerts/configure-alerts#configure-webhooks>), and it applies to [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) Observability monitors.

## How to turn it on

- Go to Settings, then Alerts, and create a monitor or open an existing one. Under Notifications, create or link a webhook destination for your paging system, such as incident.io.

- Select **Critical Only** next to that destination.

For incident.io destinations, Vercel pre-selects Critical Only. To also receive lower-severity alerts, clear it next to the destination under Connected Destinations.

## What Agent checks

Agent looks at logs and metrics to assess impact. Vercel gives two examples: spotting health-check errors that don't affect customers, and confirming sustained 5xx errors on checkout requests. Context can be added to each monitor to guide the investigation.

Because Agent assesses each alert before delivery, notifications can arrive later than the monitor's overall severity threshold would suggest.

## Plans and pricing

Alert validation is available on **Pro and Enterprise** plans with Observability Plus. Observability Plus includes **10 Agent investigations** per billing cycle, and additional investigations are billed separately. Custom monitors cost **$0.0035 per GB** of data scanned. Built-in alerts remain included with Observability Plus.
