# v0.dev -> v0.app

By Steven Van · 2025-08-11

Vercel renames v0.dev to v0.app and adds agentic planning, self-checking, and web search to its AI app builder.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) has renamed v0.dev to v0.app and made it agentic. Instead of generating code from a single prompt and requiring follow-up prompts for fixes or added functionality, v0 now plans, checks its own work, and adjusts automatically, producing a full app with UI, content, backend, and logic included.

Vercel lists what v0.app now does on its own:

- Checks work by spotting errors, comparing implementations, and reasoning through results

- Generates image concepts with descriptions for design inspiration

- Searches the web, handles failures, and returns results with citations

- Makes a step-by-step plan before working on a request

- Reads files and returns their content

- Inspects live sites, takes screenshots, and summarizes findings

- Tracks tasks, updates plans, and outputs technical breakdowns

- Implements integrations with other tools

Vercel says founders are using it to build investor pitch decks and MVPs with landing pages, onboarding flows, and dashboards, while product managers can turn a user story into a working app with charts, filters, and test data without writing code. v0.app is [available to try for free](<https://vercel.com/blog/v0-app>).
