# Use and manage Vercel Sandbox directly from the Vercel CLI

Requires updating to Vercel CLI v54.15.1 or later to run, connect to, and stop sandboxes from the terminal.

The [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) CLI can now create, run, and manage [Vercel Sandbox](<https://vercel.com/docs/sandbox/cli-reference>) instances directly, using a new vercel sandbox command, so developers no longer need to leave the terminal to work with sandboxes.

The command covers creating a sandbox (vercel sandbox create), running a command in a new or resumed sandbox (vercel sandbox run), executing a command in an existing sandbox (vercel sandbox exec), connecting to a sandbox interactively (vercel sandbox connect), listing sandboxes (vercel sandbox list), and stopping them (vercel sandbox stop). It requires Vercel CLI version **54.15.1** or later.
