# Skew Protection max age now supports the full deployment lifetime

By Steven Van · 2025-11-06

Vercel removes the 12-hour (Pro) and 7-day (Enterprise) caps, letting Skew Protection max age match deployment retention.

Vercel now lets [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s Skew Protection maximum age run for a project's entire deployment lifetime, replacing the previous caps of 12 hours on Pro and 7 days on Enterprise. Skew Protection keeps a user's requests routed to the same deployment during a rollout; the max age controls how long a deployment stays eligible for that pinning before requests to it 404. The new maximum can be set to any duration up to the project's Deployment Retention policy.
