# Sign in with Vercel now generally available

By Steven Van · 2025-11-26

Developers can now add Vercel as an OAuth sign-in option for their apps directly from the Vercel dashboard.

Vercel's Sign in with Vercel is now generally available, letting developers add Vercel as a sign-in method for their apps without building their own account or password system. Developers create an app, configure its scopes, and set up sign-in directly from the [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) dashboard.

The feature is built on OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Once set up, it lets an application:

- Sign users in with their existing Vercel account, with no separate password to create or remember

- Fetch the user's info, such as their name, email, and avatar

- Receive ID tokens, access tokens, and refresh tokens for interacting with Vercel

Users see a consent page listing the requesting app's name, logo, and requested permissions before approving. Vercel provides an [example app](<https://vercel.com/changelog/sign-in-with-vercel>) to get started.
