# Send feedback from the Vercel CLI

By Steven Van · 2026-10-23

The new command works without a login or a linked project, and coding agents can attach structured fields to their reports.

The Vercel CLI now has a vercel feedback command for sending bugs, friction reports and feature requests to the Vercel team from the terminal. [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) says it works without logging in or linking a project, according to the [CLI documentation](<https://vercel.com/docs/cli>).

## Sending feedback

The simplest form takes a message as its argument, for example vercel feedback "The error didn't explain how to fix the issue". Input can also be piped in, as in cat notes.md | vercel feedback -.

## Structured context for agents

Coding agents can send feedback when they run into issues. The -f or --field flag adds structured context as key=value pairs, and the flag can be repeated to describe the task, the expected behavior and what went wrong. The example in the release note uses these fields:

- product, model and harness

- task, expected and actual

- type, for instance bug

To use it, update to the latest Vercel CLI.
