# Route build traffic through Static IPs

By Steven Van · 2025-11-04

Build-time API and CMS calls can now route through Vercel's static IPs via a new per-project toggle, off by default.

Build traffic, such as calls to external APIs or CMS data sources during the build process, can now route through [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s Static IPs. The setting lives under Project Settings → Connectivity → "Use static IPs for builds," and it's off by default. Once enabled, both build and function traffic route through the static IPs and count toward Private Data Transfer usage. The option is available to all teams using Static IPs, a feature for Pro and Enterprise plans priced at $100/month per project.
