# Redeploy without leaving project settings

By Steven Van · 2025-02-12

A toast now appears after changing settings such as environment variables, with a Redeploy button that starts the deployment and shows its progress.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) now prompts for a redeploy when a project setting change needs one to take effect. Changing something like an environment variable brings up a toast notification, as [announced in the project settings docs](<https://vercel.com/docs/projects/project-configuration/project-settings>).

Clicking **Redeploy** in the toast starts the deployment, and its progress can be tracked from there, so there is no need to go back to the Deployments page.
