# Pre-generate SSL certs, now in the Domains dashboard

Vercel's Domains dashboard can now issue certificates ahead of DNS changes, so domain migrations happen with zero downtime.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s Domains dashboard can now [pre-generate SSL certificates](<https://vercel.com/docs/domains/pre-generating-ssl-certs>) for a domain being migrated to the platform, without using the CLI. After adding an existing domain to a project, selecting **Pre-Generate Certificate** issues the certificate before DNS records are updated, allowing the rest of the migration to happen with zero downtime. The option only appears if no certificate has already been issued for that domain. Importing a zone file or using Domain Connect to migrate DNS records from a previous provider is still supported.
