# OpenAI's GPT-OSS-Safeguard-20B now available in Vercel AI Gateway

The moderation-focused model runs through AI Gateway's unified API, with no separate OpenAI account needed.

OpenAI's GPT-OSS-Safeguard-20B is now available through [Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>)'s AI Gateway, with no separate provider account required to use it. The model is a fine-tuned version of GPT-OSS built for policy-driven content moderation, and it can be called through [AI Gateway](<https://vercel.com/ai-gateway>)'s unified API by setting the model string to **openai/gpt-oss-safeguard-20b**.

Requests to the model get AI Gateway's usage and cost tracking, built-in observability, Bring Your Own Key support, and intelligent provider routing with automatic retries for higher than provider-average uptime.
