# Keith Messick joins Vercel as CMO

He previously led marketing at Redis, LaunchDarkly, Dialpad and Lucidworks, as Vercel expands from frontend to full stack and AI tooling.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) has hired Keith Messick as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Messick joins from Redis, where he oversaw a 100-person team spanning brand, demand generation, product marketing, technical marketing, and marketing operations.

He previously helped create the Feature Management category at LaunchDarkly and led marketing at Dialpad and Lucidworks. Vercel frames the hire as support for its move from frontend to full stack, deeper enterprise capabilities, and AI integration into its own developer tools.

The [announcement](<https://vercel.com/blog/keith-messick-joins-vercel-as-cmo>) says the marketing team he's joining recently worked on launches including AI Gateway, v0 composite models, Vercel Blob GA, Flags Explorer GA, Chat SDK, and Fluid compute, and is currently hiring for Content Engineer, Customer Marketer, and Field Marketer roles.
