# Introducing Vercel MCP: Connect Vercel to your AI tools

By Steven Van · 2025-08-06

Vercel's new public-beta MCP server gives approved AI clients like Claude and Cursor read-only access to docs, logs and project data.

[Vercel](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/vercel>) has launched the official Vercel MCP server, now in **public beta**. It's a secure, OAuth-compliant Model Context Protocol server that gives supported AI clients structured, read-only access to a developer's Vercel account, so an assistant can pull logs, docs and project metadata without leaving the coding environment.

With the tools defined in Vercel MCP, a connected assistant can:

- Search Vercel's documentation for authoritative answers, for example on configuring BotID or enabling Skew Protection

- Retrieve deployment logs so it can analyse a failed build and suggest fixes

- Fetch the teams linked to an account, useful for checking access and sign-in requirements like SAML

- Fetch the projects a user is authenticated to (creating or reconfiguring projects is planned for a future update)

Vercel MCP also supports the MCP "prompts" primitive, letting the server define reusable prompt templates that clients can present to users and LLMs. To connect, clients add Vercel MCP's public endpoint, **https://mcp.vercel.com**, as a custom connection. Access is limited to an allowlist of supported clients that meet Vercel's standards for authorization, data handling and protocol adherence; at launch that list includes Claude, Cursor and VS Code, with more clients planned.
